On January 10, 2025, a joint meeting of Mongolian and Chinese business entities was successfully organized in the Customs-Approved Unified /Free/ Zone of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. The event was attended by over 70 business representatives from both Mongolia and China, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and fostering future partnerships.
The meeting was attended by Ts.Nanjidsambuu, President of the Employers' Federation of Mongolia, Wang Xugen, Deputy Director of the Chamber of Commerce of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in Mongolia, Ulaantuya, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs of Hohhot, and Dong Yan Chun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of the Customs-Approved Unified /Free/ Zone in Hohhot.

The conference aims to establish a platform for promoting trade, cultural exchange, and open cooperation between Mongolia and China. It is designed to support the free flow of trade and investment between the two countries and to expand opportunities in the international market.
The initiative seeks to promote deep integration of industrial and innovation chains, fostering joint development and establishing a new model of open growth, create a mutually beneficial framework for cooperation, enhance the quality development of foreign trade and economic relations, and establish a vital "northern" gateway for international trade connectivity.
In his remarks, Duan Yanchun stated: “In recent years, based on the Belt and Road Initiative and the development of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has continued to deepen. Collaboration in sectors such as trade and investment has been steadily advancing with tangible results.” He emphasized, “Today, we have brought together many prominent enterprises from both China and Mongolia. Through this meeting, we hope to create greater opportunities for cooperation and further deepening of bilateral exchanges and collaboration across various sectors.”
At the meeting, company representatives from both countries provided detailed presentations on their current operations, cooperation needs, and strategic interests.
The Hohhot Comprehensive Bonded Zone introduced its integrated promotional chain management model, which spans cross-border e-commerce, modern logistics, import and export raw material processing, trade, and the refining and processing of precious metals.
In line with China’s national industrial policies and Inner Mongolia’s high standard development goals, several major economic cooperation projects have been launched. As a result, five cooperation agreements were signed among participating enterprises.
